Job offers and rejections
This may sound like sour grapes, but I applied for a position, they told me they were highly interested in my services and my CV was the best they had gotten out of hundreds. They asked me for my portfolio and package expectations etc. I sent all through, but then they went silent after I sent the package I was looking for.
Surely they should respond with a simple yes or no. I, for one, feel that it is a serious flaw in professional courtesy. Why do companies feel that they are doing you a favour by considering you for their company? As far as I am concerned they would be lucky to have me. I am sure everyone has similar stories. I will of course be spreading the word about which company treats their prospective employees like dirt. Not good from a marketing or corporate perspective as they surely want to attract the best human capital, but if people don't think much of them they won't do that.
Am I just bitter (which I am sure a lot of you will say), or do you think companies should pay a little more attention to their recruitment process? Out of simple professional conduct.
