The South African Audience Research Foundation (SAARF) invites interested parties from the advertising, marketing and media industries and the media, to attend its Television Audience Measurement Survey (TAMS) Information Day.
TAMS information day addresses 2012/2013 changes

The TAMS universe is updated every six months to keep track of a fast changing TV landscape and it is that time again. SAARF will therefore look at the universe changes as well as at what has happened to the panel during the year. It will also revisit the recent inclusion of the new population estimates from IHS Global Insight, and the unbundling of the LSM, gender and language RIM weights. The presentation will also cover changes that will be taking place in the first part of 2013 when the new TAMS agreement will start and the panel expansion will take place, taking us to close to 3,000 installed households countrywide.

Speakers

Craig Johnson, MD, Nielsen Media Research will speak on the changes to the TAMS panel and will accompany Paul Haupt, CEO of SAARF. Cobie van Jaarsveld, head of product: UM SA, who is also an AMF representative on the SAARF TAMS Council, will be doing a presentation to assist planners to understand the impact of these changes on planning.

Venues

The free sessions will run for approximately 90 minutes in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban respectively.
