About the role

Reporting to the Electronic Workshop Manager, the Senior Electronics Workshop Technician will oversee the day-to-day operations of the electronic workshop — ensuring all calibration, testing, and repair work meets industry standards and client requirements. This role involves technical leadership, workflow coordination, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and guide a team of electronic technicians, providing training and performance feedback.
  

• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily workshop activities to meet deadlines.
  

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and quality assurance on electronic equipment.
  

• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with calibration and quality standards.
  

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for workshop operations.
  

• Maintain detailed records of calibration data, test results, and maintenance histories.
  

• Collaborate with the workshop manager to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
  

• Enforce safety standards and promote a culture of compliance.
  

• Act as a technical point of contact for customer queries and service support.
  

• Design and develop electronic circuits for testing and repair purposes.
  

Minimum requirements

• Diploma or degree in electronics or a related technical discipline.
  

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior or team leader capacity within an electronic workshop.
  

• Proven expertise in electronic calibration, testing, and repair.
  

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate others.
  

• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
  

• Knowledge of calibration standards and documentation practices (ISO 17025, ANSI Z540, etc.).
  

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, SAP, and CRM systems.
