Event Delegate Acquisition - Cold Calling Specialist

We’re looking for a confident, energetic salesperson who genuinely enjoys picking up the phone and speaking to people.

This role is about filling seats at B2B technology events - but not with just anyone. You’ll be calling senior executives, IT decision-makers and industry specialists, so you need to be commercially sharp, naturally persuasive and good with people.

The right person will be bubbly, warm and engaging, with the confidence to hold a conversation with senior professionals and the judgement to know how to build interest without pushing too hard.

What the role involves

• Calling senior business and technology decision-makers to secure high-quality event delegates
• Building interest quickly, naturally and professionally
• Creating rapport with people who are busy, selective and worth getting right
• Following up consistently, with good judgement on timing
• Managing your own call pipeline and hitting delegate targets
• Representing the event and brand in a polished, credible way
• What we’re looking for someone who actually likes calling - not someone who just tolerates it
• A bubbly, confident personality with a natural way with people
• Strong persuasion skills without sounding pushy
• Comfortable speaking to C-suite and senior business professionals daily
• Able to handle rejection, keep moving and stay positive
• Professional, articulate and quick to build credibility on a call
• Experience in delegate acquisition, telesales, media sales or B2B outbound sales is a strong advantage.

What this role is not

Requirements:

• Matric (required).
• Solid MS Office Experience
