Position: Structural Engineer - Full Time Position (Mon-Fri) occasional local travel required
Location: Johannesburg (Northriding) South Africa

Job Description/ Key Responsibilities:

- Structural forensic investigations and due diligence inspections and associated report writing.
- Structural Engineering design and detailing.
- Structural Steel Work
- Concrete structures
- Masonry Structures
- Timber Structures
- Compilation of technical specifications and BOQ’s.
- Interfacing with clients, project managers, other discipline engineers, design draughts persons and other stakeholders throughout the project life-cycle.
- Conduct site inspections and structural assessments.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Site monitoring and coordination with the contracting team.

Requirements

What You Will Bring To The Role:

- A recognized BEng/BSc Civil Engineering degree from an accredited university.
- 3-5 years’ experience (preferred) gained in a civil and structural engineering consultancy, with particular specialization and experience in structural engineering design and detailing.
- A detail-oriented Structural Engineer.
- Have experience in utilising specific structural design software tools to maximise productivity, efficiency and innovation.
- Be proficient in Prokon software.
- Competent CAD and 3D modelling skills.
- Have excellent MS Office knowledge.
- Exceptional command of the English language with excellent report writing abilities.
- Ability to manage yourself to attain quality, cost and schedule objectives.
- Strong deliverable focus, ability to plan the work.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, ethical and confident.
- Strong leadership skills, ambitious and dynamic.
- Well-developed English and/or Afrikaans communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Well-written English and/or Afrikaans skillset

- SYNEVO Inspections aim to grow the business over the coming years so an entrepreneurial

- Code B drivers’ licence (with own vehicle) and willingness to travel for projects in South Africa.
