Data Scientist

As a Junior Data Scientist, you’ll support the data team with building, analysing, and visualising datasets that power marketing decisions for clients across retail, e-commerce, and B2B sectors. You’ll work closely with team members to perform analyses, and help deliver dashboards and reports using Google BigQuery and Looker Studio.

The ideal person

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and solutions-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude. You should be a quick learner, a collaborative team player, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related STEM field
• Preferably a minimum of one years’ experience in a data, analytics, or in a BI role (internships included)
• Strong understanding of SQL
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and visualisation tools (Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau)
• Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail

Key responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning, and organising data from multiple sources (CRM, ad platforms, POS data, etc.)
• Write and optimise SQL queries in Google BigQuery
• Support the team in building dashboards and visual reports in Looker Studio or Power BI
• Perform basic data analysis to uncover trends and insights for client campaigns
• Help maintain and improve data models and reporting structures
• Collaborate with the marketing and strategy teams to interpret data findings

Bonus points if you:

• Basic knowledge of Python or R for data analysis
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools
• Familiarity with digital marketing data (Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4)
• Some experience in data visualisation and storytelling
• Like to bake for your colleagues
