Intern Designer/Developer

The IMS team are looking for a designer and front-end developer Intern to join our team. As an Intern you are a talented and reliable self-starter who will focus on visual development and design as well as WordPress websites creation and maintenance. Creating the look and feel, colours, typography, content pages, banners and the building, testing, and maintenance of websites; working with themes in WordPress and designing elements in Photoshop. We are a growing team who produce excellent work for an amazing bunch of clients. We create awesome stuff at IMS and if you believe you can, we want you as part of our team. If you like to wear a jacket and tie with shorts and flip flops you’ll fit right in; if you are talented you’ll also fit in.  If you know why the chicken crossed the road; please tell us. Please keep in mind you are here to learn we only expect you to have a basic knowledge of the tools and design/development. 

You're perfect for this position if you:

• Have a tertiary qualification with a major in multimedia design/web design or
• Have a recent portfolio of work if you're a self learner.
• Know something about front-end technologies, including HTML5, Javascript and CSS3.
• Know the basics or have used Adobe Photoshop and WordPress CMS.
• Love creating videos and animations.

Responsibilities:

• Help our team design things and create, edit and maintain websites.
• Learn, learn, learn - hey you are an intern. 

Extra points if you:

• Have experience in working with Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects or Adobe Flash, and have a basic understanding of PHP.
