As a member of our team, you’ll be operating the cash registers, stocking our shelves, keeping our stores looking their best, and serving our customers. Mambo’s storage and home is looking for enthusiastic cashiers and shop assistants to join our team!

What you’ll do:

• Deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly smile.
  

• Assist customers with product information and recommendations.
  

• Operate tills accurately and efficiently (cashiers).
  

• Maintain store standards, displays, and stock levels.
  

• Ensure customers leave with a great shopping experience.
  

What we’re looking for:

• A positive attitude and passion for customer service.
  

• Strong product knowledge or willingness to learn about our wide range of storage and home products.
  

• Reliability, honesty, and a team-player mindset.
  

• Retail or cashier experience is an advantage, but not essential.

Requirements

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Effective time management
• Knowledge of products and services of the company
• Cashier: Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
• Shop assistant: Ability to achieve replenishment standards safely and properly

Education and experience:

• Grade 12 qualification
• Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
• Desirable: experience in a customer facing role within the retail/ FMCG store operations environment.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
