Position summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Mid-Level Visual Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring strong design expertise and leadership skills to guide, and inspire junior designers while ensuring the delivery of high-quality creative work. This role is integral to maintaining design excellence, meeting deadlines, and driving the creative vision forward.

Key responsibilities

• Design leadership
• Guide, advise, and inspire junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
• Provide constructive feedback and conduct regular reviews of all work produced by the junior design team to ensure quality and consistency.
• Project management
• Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to the senior designer and other stakeholders effectively.
• Manage workflows and allocate tasks across the team to ensure that project deadlines are met.
• Monitor project timelines and identify any risks, providing solutions to mitigate delays.
• Design execution
• Deliver high-quality design work across various mediums, including print, digital, and motion graphics.
• Develop creative concepts and execute designs that align with brand guidelines and meet client or company objectives.
• Stay updated on design trends to bring fresh ideas to the team and projects.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as social, paid media and digital to produce cohesive campaigns.
• Support the senior designer in strategic planning and creative direction as needed.
• Client interaction:
• Present design concepts and revisions to clients, incorporating feedback as necessary.

Skills and requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD, After Effects, and/or Premiere Pro.
• Working knowledge of motion graphics and video editing.
• Advantageous: Experience with Figma and advanced motion graphics.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy principles.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all designs meet high-quality standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design ideas and feedback clearly.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital media, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in graphic design or a related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
• A proactive problem-solver with a positive attitude.
• Passionate about design and eager to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
