Role Overview

Xanita is seeking a versatile and self-managed Mid-Level Videographer & Photographer to join our Marketing team. This full-time, in-house role focuses on producing high-quality, informative, and visually compelling content showcasing Xanita products, applications, customers, and the production process.

The ideal candidate has proven experience producing both informative/educational videos and promotional social content, understands how to create for different digital platforms, and is comfortable owning a project from concept through to final edit.

This role also includes basic technical troubleshooting for internal video conferencing setups, so a strong working knowledge of computers and AV equipment is essential.



Key Responsibilities

Videography

• Film high-quality content including product features, manufacturing processes, customer case studies, tutorials, and event/exhibition coverage.
• Produce both long-form educational content and short-form promotional/sizzle-style content for social media.
• Operate Canon camera systems, lighting, stabilising equipment, and audio gear.
• Edit videos in Adobe Premiere Pro and incorporate motion elements in After Effects where needed.
• Colour grade, sound mix, and export in platform-appropriate formats.
• Create video content optimised for YouTube, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn.

Photography

• Capture product photography, behind-the-scenes shots, production imagery, event photos, and application photography.
• Retouch and process images using Lightroom and Photoshop.

Content Production and Creative Support

• Assist the Marketing team in planning shoots, developing ideas, and refining concepts.
• Manage the organisation of raw footage, archives, and project files.
• Support handling and management of the company’s YouTube channel (thumbnails, uploads, playlists, metadata).
• Use AI content-creation tools to enhance workflows (e.g., script support, thumbnails, ideation).

Tech & Troubleshooting

• Provide general troubleshooting for conference call setups, cameras, microphones, and meetings.
• Assist with livestreaming setups: OBS or similar software.
• Confident working with computers, AV gear, audio devices, and basic networking setups.

On-Site Work

• Capture content at customer sites, expos, retail locations, and partner facilities.
• Must be comfortable travelling from time to time for project-based shoots.

Portfolio Requirements

Applicants must submit:

• 3–5 video examples (informative + promotional)
• 10–15 photography samples
• Any previous commercial or brand work
• Links to managed YouTube channels (if applicable)

Requirements

Technical Skills

• 3–5 years experience in videography and photography.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, and After Effects.
• Experience with Canon camera systems.
• Ability to use lighting setups in studio and onsite environments.
• Understanding of livestreaming workflows and tools such as OBS.
• Familiarity with AI content-creation tools (e.g. scriptwriting, b-roll sourcing, thumbnail generation).
• Experience managing and optimising YouTube channels.

• Self-starter who can manage their own schedule and deliver consistently.
• Good communicator and team player.
• Creative mindset with a strong eye for composition and storytelling.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly during time-sensitive shoots.

Nice-to-Haves

• Drone experience and licence.
• Understanding of manufacturing, industrial filming, or product demonstration content.
• Basic motion graphics skills.
• Experience shooting fast-paced build environments (expo stands, shopfitting, production floors).
