The individual needs to meet and develop relationships with clients.
Job summary
- Managing the accounts receivable book, reducing the outstanding debt
- Allocating payments received to the correct accounts, chasing unidentified deposits
- Feedback to management on problematic clients
- Ensuring the debtors module balances to the debtors control account in the general ledger
- Maintaining the debtors masterfile, ensuring all credit applications are up to date
- Accurately allocate any COD receipts to the respective accounts
- Clean debtors accounts
- Accurate allocation of receipts
- Accurate forecast of collections for cashflow purposes
- Balance the debtors module to the general ledger on a monthly basis
Communication requirements
- Management - support
- Reporting bad paying clients to management
Training identified
- Basic accounting principles
- MS Office and in particular Outlook/Excel/Word enhancement
- Xero is an added benefit
