Women in the Media Awards finalists released
The finalists have been announced for the 2011 Women in the Media Awards, now in its ninth year, and sponsored by 1st for Women Insurance Brokers: Carte Blanche's Devi Sankaree Govender; The Times editor Phylicia Oppelt; Sarie editor Michelle van Breda; MEC Global CEO Michelle Meyjes; and award-winning freelance photographer Jodi Bieber. Judges include Libby Lloyd, Peta Krost-Maunder, Jos Kuper, Prof Nixon Karithi, Gordon Muller, Prof Govin Reddy, Sandra Gordon, Ryland Fisher, Melanie Chait, Ferial Haffajee and Glenda Nevill. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in July 2011 in Johannesburg.
