Action Publications acquires Classic Car Africa

Action Publications Publisher Michele Lupini announced on Saturday that his company has acquired Classic Car Africa magazine. Action currently publishes Cars in Action and Bakkie magazines, which respectively incorporate Motorsport Africa and Used Car, and Truck Action.

Speaking at the Cars in Action Festival of Motoring held at Kyalami over the weekend, Lupini said, "Classic Car Africa has always been a most authoritative magazine with brilliantly written articles on all manner of local classic motoring. But it has struggled to realise a worthwhile print run.

"We will retain all of Classic Car Africa's hugely enthusiastic and informative writers and contributors on a freelance basis over and above our own staff, while bringing the production and publication of the magazine in house," Lupini continued. "The magazine will also take on a more modern layout, while certain subtle changes to the look, feel and content of the title will ensure a broader appeal in the market."

The re-launched title will spread the magic of classic car motoring to an even broader audience. Classic Car Africa will be published every second month from the November issue, which will be on sale nationally from 25 October 2004.
