Joburg Times online, print copies soon

At a recent launch of the Joburg Times, media, city officials, advertising and marketing professionals previewed the new publication that went live online at the beginning of the month. The print run will begin at a later date.

Among the speakers was the Joburg Times PR manager, Mickey Ntaisi, who said, "We're delighted to introduce the newspaper to the rest of the city. While other publications celebrate their 100 years of publishing, we celebrate the freshness of a newspaper that all Johannesburg residents can relate to."

The publication is targeted to all middle class, ambitious and inspired individuals, although it may be perfect read for society influencers and anyone craving for self-development.

Ntaisi recited its goals, "To share the vision of all those players both in the private and public sectors who are working towards making Joburg a world class African city. To create an environment and platform where companies of various sizes and stages can build deeper relationships with readers. To keep Joburg residents informed, entertained and educated with the most compelling issues, stories and features in the city."

Independent, in-depth investigation

The deputy director of communication of the City of Joburg, Nthatisi Mondigoane welcomed the newspaper on behalf of the city, "Our world class African city now boasts a new publication. The City management is 100% in support of the publication."

A weekly online and print news source that chronicles the area's news, covering independent, in-depth investigation of the realities of all events in Johannesburg, it will present analysed conversation to inform all Johannesburg's residents and stakeholders with the city's most newsworthy issues, stories and features focussing efforts on business, politics, developments, arts and culture.
