I have more than 25 years experience in journalism, and have written extensively for a wide spectrum of industries, including information technology, defence, bowhunting (not a hobby, just a client) flooring, design and décor, and retail (household goods).
I worked for the Armaments Corporation of South Africa (Armscor) from 1984 to1989.
Between 1990 and 2005 I provided a freelance editorial service (writing, editing, proofreading, video script writing, design and layout) to numerous organisations, publications and media/PR companies. My services included delivering media releases, company profiles, product brochures and more.

I have also written video scripts for the following organisations:

In July 2005 I was appointed editor of Complete Home Solutions, a consumer publication for the home planning, décor and renovation genre. Duties included: source and write articles, coordinate and advise on layout and overall look-and-feel of the publication, manage any freelance writers and layout artists used, supervise production process, manage website (including electronic B2B and consumer newsletters), manage TV promotional series.
In 2007 I was head-hunted by Home Goods Retailer, a B2B publication aimed primarily at the furniture, appliances and consumer electronics industries, and joined the publication as editor in May 2007. Duties include source and write articles, attend functions hosted by clients and readers, coordinate overall look-and-feel of the publication, manage pagination, supervise production process.
I also edited the company's sister publication, Commercial Interiors, an alternate-monthly online trade magazine for the interiors contracts market, targeted at architects, interior designers and other professional specifiers.
