Media Strategist at Cape Party
I'm Adrian Kay, I'm 25 years old .
From January 2009 to June 2011, I worked as media liaison, and Chief Strategist for the Cape Party. I led the research into the viability of the Western Cape's economy. I was responsible for press statements and crafted the party's election strategies in 2009 (General Elections) and 2011 (Local Government Elections). I have appeared in the media on many occasions speaking on behalf of the party. Most of these are available online.
My duties in the run-up to election 2011 included managing the day-to-day campaign, planning events and rallies, liaising with the IEC, drawing up micro and macro strategies and leading the party's extensive social media platform.
I have a degree (BA Media Studies and Politics) from the University of Cape Town and did Post Graduate Studies in Political Communication, before embarking on a gap year to teach English in South Korea.
I developed most of the Cape Party's content, both online and internal. I led the effort to recruit and organize candidates. I have experience in presentations and public speaking to all LSM's. I have a successful record of political fund raising.
I am an ambitious and highly self- motivated individual with a track record of working under high pressure with attractive results
