eNews Channel now available on cell phones

According to Bronwyn Keene-Young, e.tv's Group COO, this is only the start of e.tv's mobile broadcast services. "The launch of e.Mobile TV in South Africa makes our channels accessible to our viewers at times when they normally would not be able to watch TV."

The e.tv channel will be made available on the mobile platform in due course.

"e.tv is committed to providing its services anywhere at any time. Technology such as mobile broadcasting offers our industry new opportunities all the time and our viewers more choice," adds Keene-Young.

e.Mobile can be accessed on a DVB-H broadcast enabled cellphone such as the Nokia 5330, Nokia N96 and ZTE F900.

e.Mobile services are available in the following areas on a free-to-air basis across South Africa: Johannesburg, Pretoria, Soweto, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Polokwane, Mbombela, Rustenburg, Bloemfontein and Durban.
