The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) is an award-winning, pan-African nonprofit women's economic empowerment organisation that promotes and supports women business leadership and innovation through a portfolio of high impact development programmes.

AWIEF's mission is to foster the economic inclusion, advancement, and empowerment of women in Africa through entrepreneurship support and development.

Our vision is an inclusive and thriving Africa where women are empowered to create and grow high-impact and sustainable businesses contributing to increasing Africa's GDP.

Since 2021, AWIEF has Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

AWIEF's year-round programmes, initiatives and events culminate in convening the annual international and multi-stakeholder AWIEF Conference, Exhibition and Awards.

Now in its 9th year, the AWIEF Conference has become Africa's leading entrepreneurship event, bringing together thought leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders in the African entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem for high-level discussions on Africa's economic development challenges and solutions, with women as key contributors.

AWIEF2023 takes place on 9 and 10 November in Kigali, Rwanda, under the theme: "Leveraging the Power of the Digital Economy: Innovate, Redefine, Empower".
