Qualified Millwright - Print/Packaging

A well-established print and packaging manufacturer based in Cape Town is seeking a skilled and experienced Millwright to join their technical team. This role is ideal for a hands-on trade-qualified individual with proven experience in the litho print or carton packaging sector, who thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Key responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on litho printing and carton converting equipment
  

• Conduct planned, preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
  

• Diagnose and resolve breakdowns efficiently to support production targets
  

• Install, commission and maintain production machinery and auxiliary equipment
  

• Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve machine reliability and efficiency
  

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards
  

Requirements:

• Qualified Millwright (Trade Test essential)
  

• Proven experience within litho printing and/or carton packaging environments
  

• Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems
  

• Experience working with high-speed production machinery
  

• Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment
  

• Willingness to work shifts and respond to breakdowns when required
