Heaven's Nest cares for children between the ages of six months and eight years infected or affected by HIV and AIDS, as well as children who have been abandoned, abused or neglected until they can be placed back with family members, fostered or adopted.

Humbled by support

"We organised the event with zero budget but with the kindness and help of both our local community and local businesses the event was a great success. We are deeply humbled by the support and the generous donations we received towards the event," says Eleanor Bester, project manager at Heaven's Nest.

"The aim of the open day was to introduce Heaven's Nest to the local communtiy as well as to open our doors, and allow people to get to know who we are and what we do," comments Bester.

Heaven's Nest always welcomes donations of food, cleaning products, school supplies, diapers or clothing. For more information about Heaven's Nest, email ten.asmoklet@tsensnevaeh or contact Bester at +27 (0)21 703 9781.
