The Western CapeDepartment of Health seeks a suitably qualified Project Manager to manage electronic content. Your main duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • creating the conceptual design for a planned database
  • installing and testing new versions of the database management system (DBMS) with the assistance of the Centre for e-Innovation
  • writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata) that is in line with the PGWC ICT policy.

With in-depth Oracle and SQL Server Database Administration experience, and an appropriate recognised tertiary degree or postgraduate diploma in Computer Sciences, Programming, or Database Development, you can be part of this innovative career opportunity. Furthermore, you will need:

  • appropriate relevant work experience
  • experience in transactional SQL
  • experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security
  • experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service
  • a valid driver's licence (Code B/EB).

This rewarding career opportunity comes with a negotiable remuneration package of R270 804 per annum and service benefits (guaranteed annual bonus, 13. 5 % employer's contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
