All they have to do is to pre-register via SMS and detailed results will be sent back to them on the day of release.
Students can immediately start to register by sending the word DBE (for Department of Basic Education exams) or IEB (for Independent Examination Board exams) followed by their ID number to 35935, at R3 per SMS. They will receive a return SMS asking for an exam number, for them to receive their detailed results.
If students were not able to pre-register, they will also be able to call 082 152 on the day the results are released, select option 6, punch in their ID and exam numbers and the results will be relayed. Calls to 082 152 are charged at Value Added Service rates.
