Not volunteering will mean payment for entrance to the gig for the amount of R50 from Webtickets. Money received from ticket purchases will be donated towards the Food Pods project.
Greg Viljoen from Bigger Than Me said: "The whole point of the concept is about being Bigger Than You 'Me' and giving back to something that not only empowers people, but is also sustainable in the long run."
On 9 November the project will be a celebration of food, highlighting the issue of food security in South Africa. Volunteers can expect to plant seeds, transfer seedlings to other growing pods as well as harvesting produce for the actual Food Pods that will be distributed through the Food Pods network in Phillipe.
