SA Commercial Prop News reports that J.T. Ross, one of South Africa's most established development and property entities, announced that Plumbago Business Park - currently under development within the Ekurhuleni Aerotropolis area - is emerging as a premier business park on the Gauteng East Rand node.

The 25 hectare development site is situated alongside the R21 between Johannesburg and Pretoria and positioned just 5km away from O.R.Tambo International airport. Construction has already commenced and should be completed for occupation during the 3rd quarter of 2012.

J.T. Ross development director Graeme Green said that the location has been affirmed as a destination of choice for corporate logistics companies. "The park is specifically designed to cater for logistics, freight forwarding, and light industrial corporate companies who seek to strategically locate their business and capitalise on the Park's fantastic exposure and access" he told SA Commercial Prop News, adding that to date, corporate companies like Jonsson Workwear, Blue Sky Logistics and John Deere, have elected to relocate their National Distribution Centres to Plumbago Business Park.
