Charity golf day raises R1 million

For the seventh year, Forever Resorts was the main sponsor for a golf charity day that raises funds for HospiVision. Early last week, sport icon Naas Botha and actors from Binnelanders played a round of golf along with the field of 140 players, who raised R1 million for the charity.

Finalists and directors from Mrs United Nations and young and upcoming South African artist, Liza Brönner also supported the day.

"HospiVision does extraordinary work under very difficult circumstances and by acting as main sponsor of the day, the company tries to assist in creating awareness of this charity and its work - bringing some relief in the lives of the patients and staff," says Lara Doundoulakis, brand & communications manager of Forever Resorts, Lodges, Hotels & Retreats.

HospiVision is a non-profit organisation that looks after the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those less fortunate. It provides shelter, a helping hand during trauma and fully cooked meals at the Oasis Centre at the Steve Biko Hospital in Pretoria. It also assists with trauma counselling and presents workshops and training to companies in order to assist staff during difficult times.
