Counting down to 'sold out' Hostex 2009

Over 250 exhibitors participating in a 'sold out' Hostex 2009, covering two packed halls, are reaching fever pitch in their preparations for this year's event which is poised to be the most exciting in its 23-year history. Acclaimed as South Africa's premier International Hospitality and Catering Exhibition, Hostex, brought to you by Specialised Exhibitions will be taking place at Sandton Convention Centre from 15 - 18 March 2009.

The South African Chefs Association (SACA), which exclusively endorses Hostex, is gearing up to bring a feast of demos and competitions in their Village in Hall 1, and promises to be a constant buzz of activity. A full list of activities is available on the Hostex website www.hostex.co.za.

Hall 2 offers the established "Home Grown SME Village", featuring a horde of suppliers offering a diverse range of locally made products at cost effective prices. This area will also host the premier of the Global Pizza Challenge, which has gained fervent attention from Jeremy Mansfield and his team on 94.7's morning radio show.

Hostex will provide the perfect platform to introduce a kaleidoscope of new industry products including, but not limited to, the first wireless bar system from Bardesign, a wholesale range of locally manufactured furniture from Oriental Concepts, a travelling adaptor range from Presence, and the Microburst Duet Air Care dispensing system from Technical Concepts.

In co-operation with the company Tana Rose, seven German companies will be introducing their linen products to the South African market. Products to be highlighted include down and micro fibre duvets, bathrobes and curtains and curtain material.

"We are particularly excited about this year's event as it is poised to entertain and educate visitors like never before," says Exhibition Director, Lynn Chamier.
