Suga Suga adds spice to Woolies winter collection

Starting in winter 2010, there will be a new name in Woolworths' South African Designers collection. Conceptualised by a team of in-house designers, Suga Suga is a fun, sassy, street-smart range that aims to celebrate African heritage and current fashion trends.

“Woolworths is a great supporter of local design, and we love being able to provide a platform for young, talented designers,” says divisional director of clothing, Brett Kaplan. “Needless to say, we are very excited and proud to find such fabulous talent inside our organisation. We really believe that Suga Suga will be a hit.”

With printed t-shirts ranging from R120 to R250, and skirts and dresses priced from R250 to R399, Suga Suga also brings an exciting affordability to designer wear. More good news is that there will be something new every month.

For winter 2010, the colour palette is spicy and colourful, with burnt oranges, mustards, browns highlighted with purples and turquoise.

Suga Suga will hang alongside the ranges of renowned South African designers, Stephen Quatember and Maya Prass, in selected Woolworths stores around the country from January 2010.
