Three D Radio ignites Twisp in cinema

Advertising electronic cigarettes has proved to be somewhat challenging for many e-cigarette brands, and with almost everything that can be done already out there, alternative and innovative ideas have been hard to come by. However, Three D Radio was recently able to come to the rescue of e-cigarette company, Twisp, with a solution that would allow them to reach the masses.
Three D Radio ignites Twisp in cinema

Dubbed '3D Radio' by its creators, Cameron Naidoo and Louis Enslin, this newly-launched platform gives advertisers the opportunity to create three-dimensional 'radio spots' that harness the power of the surround sound in cinemas - and this was an opportunity Twisp was only too happy to seize.

"We've partnered with Ster-Kinekor and Cinemark to bring 3D Radio to life. Nothing 'makes' our spots quite like the sound quality of a movie theatre. With sound making up more than 50% of the cinema experience, this is even more heightened with minimal to no on-screen presence of an ad," says Naidoo, Three D Radio co-founder.

"Twisp took advantage of this, and together with their Cape Town-based agency, Matt Advertising, we were able to create an ad that truly capitalises on the speakers' power and that captures the consumers' imagination," adds Enslin.

With the obstacle of finding Twisp a comfortable space in traditional media overcome, Naidoo says, "Matt Advertising's script was all about the future. We found the concept to be quite fitting considering that it's because of a platform like 3D Radio that a product as restricted as an e-cigarette has a future in advertising."
