See: 2022 Mandela Day Food Drive donates 1.5 million meals
The fourth Mandela Day Food Drive was held nationwide by FoodForward SA in partnership with Pick n Pay on 18 July 2022 after the initiative was paused during the pandemic.
Food items were donated last week by Pick n Pay customers in-store and online, Feed the Nation Foundation, FoodForward SA and suppliers.
Food for 1.5 million meals was packed at events in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. The distribution will take place throughout winter.
