The Grow Collective is a performance-driven digital marketing agency specialising in helping ecommerce and consumer brands grow revenue, leads, and brand presence through strategic, best-practice digital execution.

We are seeking a proactive, commercially minded, and strategically sharp Digital Account Manager to join our team.

This role is responsible for owning and growing a portfolio of ecommerce and consumer brand accounts across paid media, social media, SEO, content creation, and web. You will act as the strategic bridge between our clients and our internal specialist teams, ensuring that work is not only delivered on time, but delivered in a way that drives measurable growth for our clients and meets their brand and marketing objectives through creative & performance drive campaign strategies.

The ideal candidate thrives in a high-performance agency environment, thinks out of the box, creatively, commercially and confidently manages multiple accounts simultaneously, and takes full ownership of client satisfaction, strategic direction, and commercial outcomes. You must be solution-oriented, highly organised, detail-driven, and comfortable having performance-based conversations with business owners and marketing leads.

Key responsibilities
1. Client relationship management
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Lead regular client communication including status updates, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions internally & with client stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for growth, optimisation, and upselling within accounts.
  • Manage client expectations clearly and professionally.
  • Handle feedback loops constructively and ensure alignment between client expectations and internal delivery teams.
2. Strategic account oversight
  • Develop and maintain clear account plans aligned to client growth objectives.
  • Translate client business goals into actionable internal briefs for paid, social, content, and SEO teams.
  • Ensure campaigns and deliverables align with agreed KPIs and performance targets.
  • Monitor account performance and identify areas requiring strategic adjustment.
  • Drive proactive strategic thinking rather than reactive task management.
3. Project and workflow management
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets across multiple client accounts.
  • Coordinate internal resources & operations manager to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and deliverables.
  • Set clear milestones and deadlines, ensuring work is delivered on time and within scope.
  • Maintain and follow SOPs, organised documentation of briefs, feedback, approvals, and campaign updates.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks early.
4. Performance monitoring and reporting
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly performance reports.
  • Interpret paid media, social, SEO, and content performance data at a high level.
  • Present insights and strategic recommendations clearly to clients.
  • Monitor key account metrics and identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Ensure reporting reflects business impact and ROI, not just platform metrics.
5. Cross-functional collaboration
  • Work closely with creative strategists, social media managers, paid media specialists, designers, and developers to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
  • Facilitate clear internal communication to prevent misalignment or delays.
  • Ensure internal teams understand client objectives, tone, and expectations.
  • Support internal planning sessions with relevant client context and insights.
6. Growth and commercial awareness
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across paid media, content, SEO, and web services.
  • Contribute to proposals, renewal discussions, and scope adjustments.
  • Monitor account profitability and scope creep.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity to identify strategic opportunities for clients.
Agency environment expectations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong time management and task prioritisation skills.
  • Highly deadline-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail across communication, reporting, and project management.
  • Ability to manage pressure and client expectations professionally.
  • Commercially aware and confident discussing budgets and performance metrics.
  • Structured workflow management and strong organisational skills.
Qualifications and experience
  • 2–4 years experience in account management, preferably within a digital marketing agency.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels including Paid Media, Social Media, SEO, and Content.
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and leading performance discussions.
  • Experience overseeing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Strong strategic thinking ability with a growth-focused mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace / Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Experience with CRM systems or reporting dashboards is advantageous.
