Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Strategy and Digital to lead strategic and digital initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies that drive growth, innovation, and client success across a diverse portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies aligned with client objectives and market trends.
  • Lead and inspire strategy and digital teams while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of social media content strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of strategies across all client campaigns.
  • Drive innovation in marketing techniques, including digital platforms and emerging technologies.
  • Analyse campaign performance and provide data-driven insights to optimise strategies.
  • Ensure account performance, profitability, and growth for projects and clients.
  • Contribute to new business pitches and identify growth opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on strategic and digital matters.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and technologies to maintain the agency's competitive edge.

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies aligned with client objectives and market trends.

Client Management
  • Work closely with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring the delivery of exceptional creative products that meet and exceed brand expectations.

Team Leadership
  • Lead, inspire, and guide internal teams including strategy, digital/web, and social, while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Business Growth
  • Ensure account performance, profitability, and growth while identifying new business opportunities.

Industry Expertise
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain the agency’s competitive advantage.

Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with creative, digital/web/social, and project management teams to ensure integrated campaign execution.

Agency Representation
  • Represent and uphold the agency’s values, vision, and growth ambitions, contributing to its reputation within the industry.

Leadership of Financial Services Client (Lead Agency Role)
  • Act as the strategic lead across all workstreams, ensuring integrated, insight-led brand and campaign strategy.
  • Manage senior client relationships, partnering with C-level and marketing leadership to guide strategic direction.
  • Coordinate and lead collaboration across media, PR, digital, and specialist partners.
  • Ensure consistent application of the client’s brand and communication frameworks across all deliverables.

Social, Digital & Community Management Oversight
  • Lead social, digital, and community management teams to deliver strong always-on content and engagement strategies.
  • Implement structures for real-time insights, analytics, optimisation, and social listening.
  • Guide the development of digital playbooks, social frameworks, and content governance systems.

New Business & Growth
  • Lead the development of strategic narratives for pitches and new business opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth across key clients and the wider client portfolio.
  • Represent the agency in pitch presentations and industry events.


Requirements


Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in strategy and digital marketing roles.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of developing successful strategies for diverse clients.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment.

Knowledge & Competencies
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills
  • Proficiency in strategic planning and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong knowledge of social media strategy and content development.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable plans.
