Safety and Security● Events Event and Film CopywriterBasic Salary: R588 221 per annum ● Ref No: SS 15/26 ● Cape TownRequirements: - Diploma or first degree in media, journalism, marketing, communications or public relations
- Minimum two (2) to five (5) years’ relevant experience in copywriting
- Computer literacy
- Willingness to work outside of normal hours
- Willingness to travel to various locations for work purposes
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines within specified timeframes
- Experience within the events and film industries would be advantageous.
Key performance areas: - Research, write, and edit high-quality content in line with approved briefs, brand guidelines, and editorial standards
- Produce clear, compelling, and audience-focused content across multiple platforms, including websites, digital mailers, online applications, social media, media releases, advertisements, advertorials, and speeches
- Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all communication channels
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to organisational branding and editorial policies
- Support media and communication initiatives through the drafting of media releases, speeches, and promotional content
- Contribute to campaigns that enhance organisational visibility, reputation, and messaging impact
- Stay informed of content, digital, and communication trends to continuously improve writing quality and effectiveness
- Translate complex and technical content into original, logical, clear, and engaging copy suitable for diverse audiences
- Manage and implement systems and processes to ensure all content is managed efficiently and effectively.
