What you bring to the team

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, or data analytics
• Has proven experience working as a data scientist or in a similar analytical role
• Has experience within the credit or financial services industry
• Is comfortable working with large and complex datasets
• Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Can communicate complex insights clearly to both technical and non-technical teams

Technical skills required:

• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform
• Strong data querying skills using Google BigQuery and SQL
• Programming experience with Python
• Data visualization experience using Looker Studio

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting, extracting, and compiling data from multiple sources while ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Cleaning, transforming, and structuring raw datasets for advanced analytics and predictive modelling
• Identifying and resolving data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies
• Performing exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and relationships
• Applying statistical techniques, data visualization, and predictive modelling to generate actionable insights
• Working with technologies such as SQL, Python, and BigQuery to analyse large datasets
• Staying up to date with the latest trends and developments in data analytics and machine learning

Salary: Up to R950K per annum (negotiable based on experience and ability)
