Software Developer

Our client is on a mission to deliver smart, scalable, tech-driven financial solutions to emerging markets — and they’re looking for a Senior Software Developer to help build robust, cloud-ready systems that power that mission.

Skills and Experience Required

• Programming Languages: JavaScript, Python (or similar)
• Backend Frameworks: FastAPI or equivalent; experience managing databases, compute, and external integrations
• Front-End: Vue.js experience or familiarity with UX design is a strong plus
• DevOps / Cloud: Test-driven development, cloud architecture (AWS a plus), CI/CD, Terraform
• Mobile & Apps: Experience maintaining native Android apps and app builds in Zoho Creator with Deluge
• Database Management: Strong experience with database design, queries, and integrations
• Experience: 6+ years in software development
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Your Role

• Develop cloud services in AWS using Python and Terraform
• Build multiple custom front ends with modern JavaScript frameworks
• Maintain and improve existing apps across multiple platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, scalable, and reliable systems

This is a permanent role based in Cape Town, offering a CTC of R1m per annum, negotiable based on experience and ability.
