Join a purpose-driven Australian pet insurance brand on a mission to protect pets across the country.
We’re launching an exciting new pet insurance brand in Australia, and we’re looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to help us make a powerful digital impact. This is a remote role based in South Africa, offering the opportunity to work with a dynamic, collaborative team while supporting a brand that values integrity, creativity, and customer empathy.
About the Role
We’re looking for a
Digital Marketing Specialist to lead and optimise our digital campaigns, drive customer acquisition, and elevate our brand presence across multiple channels. This is a unique opportunity to work in a highly regulated industry where creativity meets compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy & Budgeting
- Develop and manage digital channel mix and budget allocation with the Head of Marketing.
- Optimise campaigns for CPL and CPA, ensuring high-performing channels are prioritised.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Analyst for accurate tracking and insights.
Campaign Management
- Execute campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and programmatic DSPs.
- Ensure proper tagging and tracking via Google Tag Manager.
- Drive ROI through PPC and display optimisation.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor performance using Google Analytics and other tools.
- Build dashboards and reports to track KPIs and conversion metrics.
- Present actionable insights to stakeholders.
Optimisation & Testing
- Conduct A/B testing and implement CRO strategies.
- Collaborate with UX and creative teams to improve landing page performance.
SEO & Content
- Implement on-page and technical SEO with our front-end developer.
- Conduct keyword research and optimise content for organic growth.
Customer Journey & Compliance
- Align campaigns with lifecycle stages in collaboration with CRM and product teams.
- Ensure all digital content complies with legal and regulatory standards.
Cross-Channel & Agency Collaboration
- Coordinate with email, social, and offline teams for cohesive messaging.
- Oversee agency-managed digital marketing activities.
Where you’ll work
- Either remotely within South Africa or, at our office in the beautiful town of George in the heart of South Africa’s stunning Garden Route.
- Working hours will be semi-aligned to the Australian time zone: 06:00 to15:00 SA time giving you more free time later in your day!

Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in digital marketing, with a focus on performance and paid campaigns.
- Experience managing large digital budgets.
- Strong knowledge of PPC, CPC, SEO, and CRO.
- Proficiency in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, YouTube, TikTok, and SEO tools.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns remotely.
Bonus Points For
- Experience in insurance or pet care industries.
- Familiarity with the Australian regulatory environment.
- Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
- Passion for pets or animal welfare.
