Job description

Key Roles and Responsibilities:- Lecture contact learning students in the following modules:
o Creative Design 2 (BCRD261)
o Experiential Learning 3 – Design (BEXL372)
o Fashion Brand Communication (BFBC151)
- Perform the role and responsibilities of module coordinator (MC) for the following modules:
o Experiential Learning 3 – Design (BEXL372)
o Fashion Brand Communication (BFBC151)
- Use a learning management system independently and/or collaborate to develop and deliver modules.
- Compile teaching, learning, and assessment materials.
- Participate in curriculum development.
- Complete grading for all the modules.
- Conduct internal moderation for the below-mentioned modules.
o Computer Literacy & Design 2 (BCLD261)
o Computer Literacy & Design 3 (BCLD371)
o Fashion Practice 1 (FPR01)
- Provide academic support to students.
- Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules.
- Participate in institutional research projects.
- Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager.
- Undertake scholarly activities to continuously improve teaching and learning.
Key Attributes:- Strong creative design skills in the fashion design context and demonstrate advanced skills in fashion illustration, adept at traditional and digital illustration skills. The candidate must exhibit a creative mindset and adopt novel approaches to creative problem-solving.
- Thorough understanding of pattern making and garment construction principles to support Creative Design decision-making.
- Strong commercial understanding of the retail environment in the context of fashion brand communication (including fashion branding, brand positioning, target markets, marketing, public relations and social media marketing).
- Sound teaching and assessment skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational, time management, and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
- Strong organisational, administrative, and networking skills (managing work-integrated learning placements and the associated regulatory documentation).
- High level of empathy and understanding of student-centred teaching approaches.
- High level of computer proficiency with good knowledge of modern Information Technology infrastructure and online learning platforms. Experience with CANVAS LMS and MS Suite for productivity preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to cope with change.
- Availability to work on Saturdays for school events and Open Days.
