Job description

Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Finished Artist to join our creative team in a fast-paced wholesale environment. The role focuses on preparing and finalising packaging artwork — including blister cards, product labels, and point-of-sale materials — ensuring all designs are print-ready and meet brand and production standards.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of print processes with exceptional attention to detail, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver accurate, consistent, and visually appealing packaging across our product range.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, refine, and finalise artwork for packaging such as blister cards, swing tags, cartons, and labels.
• Ensure all files are print-ready, with correct die-lines, bleeds, colour profiles, and specifications.
• Adapt existing packaging designs across various product ranges and SKUs while maintaining brand consistency.
• Liaise with the design, marketing, and product teams to ensure packaging aligns with brand identity and marketing objectives.
• Collaborate with printers, suppliers, and manufacturers to check proofs and resolve any technical or production issues.
• Manage and organise artwork files, version control, and archiving in an efficient and logical system.
• Conduct quality checks on colour, layout, and content before sending to print.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of print production processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
• Support the creative team with additional layout or marketing collateral as required.

Key Requirements
• Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in a finished artist, packaging, or pre-press role — ideally within a wholesale, FMCG, or retail packaging environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong understanding of print production, die-lines, color management (CMYK, Pantone), and file preparation.
• Familiarity with packaging materials and printing techniques such as offset, flexographic, or digital print.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for layout accuracy, typography, and brand consistency.
• Communication: Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments and external vendors.
• Time Management: Capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

Desirable Attributes
• Experience in product photography or mock-up creation.
• Understanding of wholesale packaging compliance and barcoding (EAN/UPC).
• Knowledge of 3D packaging visualization tools or rendering software (bonus).
• A proactive, solution-driven attitude and a commitment to maintaining high production standards.
