Job Overview :As a Mid to Senior Art Director, the incumbent will be responsible for interpreting all creative briefs, workflow and implementation of all graphic designs across multiple digital platforms, including but not limited to advertisements, in both print and digital mediums, including brochures, magazines, and corporate reports, websites, animated content, social media, etc.
As a senior, the incumbent is required to lead a team of artists/ designers, determine which artistic elements to use, articulate the vision to the team, review and approve copy, designs or photography and determine how to represent the creative concepts best.
Must be able to manage, develop, and proactively initiate creative ideas by executing with technical excellence and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
The incumbent will be responsible for the visual aspects of all brand projects and working with both internal and external clients, conversion and design.
This individual needs to show leadership in innovation, research and application of AI Tools to improve quality and efficiency of the overall department.
Key Objectives and Accountabilities:1. The Senior Digital Designer/ Art Director will be responsible for interpreting all creative briefs, workflow and implementation of graphic design, motion graphic design, vector element design, page mockups, typography, iconography, web, animation, and mobile design. This also includes art direction and editing of video when required.
2. Required to develop and proactively initiate creative ideas, concepts, and projects, choosing the appropriate media and style and further executing with technical excellence and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
3. Will be responsible for the visual aspects of all brand projects and working with both internal and external clients, conversion, and design, i.e., developing and maintaining creative vision.
4. Interpretation of all creative briefs, workflow, and implementation, directing and directing the team of designers.
5. Effectively managing timelines/deadlines for deliverables by working closely with traffic.
6. Attend Client pitches and/or creative pitches for input and interpretation.
7. Working closely with Strategy/Content and Client to ensure creative direction and interpretation.
8. Assist and manage team outputs by providing creative direction and guidance to the team.
9. Manage and assist with direction on video production.
10. Remain up to date with all new developments/innovations in design tools and overall design best practices - Key requirement would be to train and develop the existing team on all AI tools and innovations.
11. Remain up to date with client products and competitors.
12. Complete any other reasonable instruction issued by your Manager/s.
Key Results:
Performance will only be satisfactory when:
- Working closely with the Creative Director to understand the client requirements and creative vision for rollout and execution.
- All creative outputs are completed within set deadlines and with minimal errors.
- Ensuring attention to detail and immaculate quality of work is provided by team.
- Continuous creative interpretation and execution of all briefs received from clients, both internal and externally.
- Creation and presentation of all designs without errors.
- Responsible for the upkeep (design) and maintenance of all client and internal brand imagery across all platforms, both print and digital.
- Conceptualize and execute examples as requested on the creative brief per project.
- Provide creative guidance and mentoring to the team.
- Propose tactical and proactive creative ideas around flighted campaigns when required.
- Responsible for all administrative duties that may be required (Chase and logging of hours, correct and systematic filing of all work).
- Communicate progress on all active jobs/ projects and/or tasks.
- Provide and manage all requested collateral by external parties.
- Perform any other reasonable task as assigned by your reporting manager.

Adobe Photoshop.

Any additional AI programmes and applications.Above-average ability to prompt AI programmes.
Education: Degree/Diploma - Visual Arts, Computer Applications Technology, Information Technology, Graphic Design
Languages: Business English
Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Art Director role
