Front-End Web Developer (Marketing)

Are you a front-end developer with a passion for clean code, engaging user experiences, and bringing digital ideas to life? We’re looking for a Front-End Web Developer to join our growing Marketing Team and help launch and maintain a brand-new pet insurance brand in Australia.


 About the role

As our front-end web developer in the marketing team, and in collaboration with our UX and UI Specialist, you’ll play a key role in creating user-friendly digital experiences that reflect our new brand and connect with pet lovers across Australia. From launching and maintaining our new website to supporting digital marketing campaigns, you’ll work alongside a collaborative team of marketers, designers, and content creators to ensure our customer-facing platforms are beautiful, fast, and functional.


What you’ll do
  • Website and platform development
  • Build, launch, and maintain the website for our new pet insurance brand.
  • In collaboration with our UX and UI specialist, design and implement responsive, mobile-optimised layouts using WordPress and Elementor.

Website content management

  • Upload and update content like product pages, blogs, and campaign materials.
  • Ensure updates are accurate, on-brand, and delivered on time.
  • Landing page and CMS setup.
  • Form and lead integration.

Website performance and optimisation
  • Monitor site performance and resolve speed or responsiveness issues.
  • Use tools like Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix for ongoing optimisation.

Integration, tracking, and reporting
  • Tag and tracking implementation (e.g. GA4, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar.).
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure setup and integration of marketing tech platforms e.g. HubSpot Marketing Hub.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the correct reporting and tracking is enabled and monitored across our marketing and advertising platform.
  • Set up and monitor website reporting.

New brand launch support

  • Support the planning and rollout of our new brand’s digital presence.
  • Build landing pages, branded content sections, and interactive features.

Collaboration
  • Work closely with our Digital marketing specialist, Content writers, UI & UX and Graphic designers, and Social media team to support campaign execution.
  • Assist with third-party integrations, forms, and tracking tools.

Technical support and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot front-end issues and maintain a clean, reliable digital experience.
  • Document development processes and support platform stability.

Where you’ll work
  • Either remotely within South Africa or, at our office in the beautiful town of George in the heart of South Africa’s stunning Garden Route,
  • Working hours will be semi-aligned to the Australian time zone: 06:00 to15:00 SA time giving you more free time later in your day!
If you’re a detail-oriented developer who loves clean code, good UX, and meaningful work — we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll need to succeed
  • 3–5 years of front-end web development experience.
  • Strong skills in WordPress, especially Elementor.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design.
  • Experience with optimisation tools (Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix).
  • Understanding of SEO, UI/UX best practices, and content management.
  • A keen eye for detail and a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Comfortable working remotely and managing your own time.

Other bonus skills
  • Previous experience in the insurance, pet, or e-commerce industries.
  • Familiarity with campaign tracking tools, SEO implementation, or analytics.
  • A love for pets and a passion for purpose-led work.
