Anna’s Kitchen currently has vacancies for Waiters and Shop Assistants to be based at Anna’s Kitchen in Three Rivers, Vereeniging, Gauteng.

Duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, welcoming experience by greeting guests with eye contact and friendly service.
• Take food and drink orders, make menu recommendations using upselling techniques, and ensure timely, accurate delivery of items.
• Serve customers professionally, handle complaints tactfully, and check in to ensure satisfaction.
• Process payments accurately, manage tabs, and handle various forms of payment.
• Maintain cleanliness and order by setting and clearing tables, keeping the dining area tidy, and assisting with general cleaning.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and uphold hygiene, safety, and health regulations in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum requirements

Qualifications

• National senior certificate

Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role, especially in the food service industry, is beneficial. 

Skills and competencies

• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, carry trays, and navigate a busy restaurant environment.
• Requires a solid understanding of restaurant policies, procedures, menu rotation, and food safety regulations to ensure smooth and hygienic operations.
• Strong customer service skills, including attentiveness, patience, and professionalism in handling concerns.
• Must communicate clearly with customers and team members, maintain a positive attitude, and manage multiple tables and tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic math skills are essential for accurate billing and payment processing.
• Success in the role requires teamwork, attention to detail, adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and time management.
• Proficiency in upselling and promoting additional menu items is also valuable for enhancing the guest experience and maximizing sales.
