Our Client is seeking a dynamic individual to join the team as an Internal Sales representative. Counter salesperson is responsible for helping walk-in customers and assisting with customers’ requests on quotations, invoices, credit notes and customer enquiries.

Key responsibilities:- Treat walk-in customers with the utmost respect (e.g. smile and greet the customer, immediately address a customer when standing at the counter, stand when welcoming the customer)
- Know all the products and advise customers of new and special products
- Satisfy customer needs and provide accurate product information
- Help customers to exchange or return merchandise and sometimes even handle customer complaints
- Ensure invoices and correct regarding product in manuals
- Ensure that invoices are correct regarding documentation, order registration, lay-buys, cod sales etc.
- Show customers the required products and alternatives, submission of out of stock orders to order clerk.
- Use the correct telesales code
- Do same day quotes and follow up regularly
- Work together with the store men in order to keep the racks neat and tidy
- Keep the counter and display area neat and tidy at all times
- Act as the supervisor at the counter and display area neat and tidy at all times
- Act as the supervisor at the counter regarding solving problems, product knowledge, preventability of the display area
Qualifications and skills:- Matric or sales qualification
- Must have good customer service skills
- Knowledge of safety products is an advantage
- Microsoft excel, word and outlook
- Familiar with verbal and written communication skills
- Telephone etiquette
- Good work ethic and application of procedures
- Clean and presentable
- Attention to detail with the ability to approach clients with confidence
Experience:- At least 1 year experience as a salesperson or in a sales or telemarketing agent
