AFDA is inviting applications for the position of a Front of House Primary responsibilities include hosting a welcoming and customer-oriented environment at the first point of contact with AFDA, telephonically (switchboard) and in person (front of house desk). The position must enhance customer and stakeholder experience through engagement via the AFDA Front of House. A friendly nature, positive professional attitude and polished, professional appearance is expected.
Further to this, the position is responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls appropriately, welcoming visitors to campus and directing them within the campus accordingly. Every opportunity to contribute to conversions of new students or retention of current students is to be optimized appropriately. This to a degree includes client facing and telephonic sales and support in a professional manner that best represents the institution. In their capacity, they will also assist with execution of marketing strategy of a particular campus or portfolio of courses in order to reach student number targets.

- Customer service experience is highly beneficial
- Familiarity and working knowledge of general office machines (i.e. copier, printers etc.) required
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with stakeholders, prospective students, clients and other employees.

Role responsibilities and duties:- Welcoming on-site guests and prospective students, determine nature of business and direct guests/prospective students to the appropriate employee.
- Maintain a friendly and positive nature to assist all callers and visitors to the campus.
- Maintain a neat and welcoming front of house space at all times.
- Answering all incoming telephone calls, determining purpose of callers, and transferring calls to appropriate employee or department.
- Executing continuous and quality Calling (outgoing/ follow-up) and Speaking to (incoming) enquiries interested in AFDA as per instruction and targets from Recruitment Officer.
- Taking and emailing messages when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
- Ensure main voicemail reflects office closings and working hours.
- Answering questions about AFDA and provide callers with address, directions and other information requested.
- Support administrative and campus events requirements, as assigned by Recruitment Officer.
- Maintaining a professional appearance in dress, presentation and conduct in the workplace at all times.
- If/when engaging with prospective students and related stakeholders (eg. parents) including via face-to-face, email and calls - confident, consistent and professional communication is required to contribute to optimum conversion of students through experience of marketing staff
- If/when required, assisting prospective students with the application process, booking and coordinating of consultations/ contact time with prospective students and related stakeholders.
- Provide relevant and accurate documentation and information to prospective students and parents
- Assist with proactively promote AFDA’s image
- Assist to ensuring accurate and timeous data-capturing, filing, record keeping and management
Additional CVP points:- Assist with Strategy Execution via programme and campus promotion through the front of house space and in marketing initiatives.
- Assist with Student Recruitment by supporting the Recruitment Officer with material and/or confirming recruitment activity details.
- Assist with executing recruitment events on campus and workshops via schools, and help with securing and arranging of consultations and individual contact with the prospective student market to keep up with targets.
- Assist with Admissions Administration via data capture, processing of and communication with enquiries with individual follow up and feedback systems, in order to keep up with targets.
Selection criteria: - Relevant Diploma or Certificate (AFDA alumni is favourable)
- Preferable experience in a related field to Front Office and Administration
