TikTok Creator Intern

Highbury Media (Pty) Ltd T/A Habari Media is a media powerhouse, whose world-class titles connect brands to targeted audiences.We are seeking a TikTok Creator Intern residing in Johannesburg, currently unemployed, and seeking to gain workplace experience to join our dynamic editorial team. 

We're offering an on-camera TikTok Video Creator Internship for a bold, creative, and Joburg-savvy content creator. You’ll be the face of our short-form video strategy, appearing in videos, creating trending content, and helping us connect with the city’s audience in fresh, relatable ways.

The successful candidate will be required to do the following:

• Be one of the faces and voices of JHB ETC's TikTok and Shorts content, appearing in videos, presenting stories, and engaging the audience.
• Assist in brainstorming, scripting, shooting, and editing videos focused on Johannesburg’s hottest topics (power outages, water crises, trending stories, lifestyle hacks, etc.).
• Use viral sounds, trends, and formats creatively while keeping content on-brand and professional.
• Work with the editorial and social team to plan weekly video calendars.
• Monitor and report on video performance.

Requirements:

• Confident, charismatic, and comfortable in front of the camera.
• Passion for TikTok, short-form video, and storytelling.
• Love for Johannesburg and its culture, quirks, and trends.
• Basic video editing skills (CapCut, InShot, TikTok native tools, etc.).
• Creative thinker who can turn news and lifestyle topics into engaging, viral content.
• Ability to work remotely and deliver content quickly.
