Our client, a well-established digital printing company based in Cape Town, is seeking a junior print estimator to assist the Senior Estimator in delivering accurate and timely quotations for digital print jobs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, a go-getter personality, and the drive to grow within the print industry.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates and quotes using the Quick Easy Estimating software
Assist the Senior Estimator with daily tasks and larger, more complex quotes
Liaise with internal departments (production and sales) to clarify job requirements
Monitor material costs, turnaround times, and update job records
Ensure accuracy and efficiency in estimating under tight deadlines
Requirements:
Matric qualification is essential
1–2 years’ experience in a print estimating or print production admin role (digital print preferred)
Working knowledge of the Quick Easy Estimating package (essential)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy
Excellent numerical and organisational skills
A go-getter personality, high energy, and the ability to work proactively
Must have own reliable transport
Remuneration: Market-related, based on experience
