MIS Front-End / SQL Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MIS Front-End / SQL Technician to join a dynamic team. This role is ideal for a technically strong individual with a passion for software development, data management, and business intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end applications based on business and operational requirements
• Develop and optimise SQL Server objects, including stored procedures, functions, and views
• Proficient with front and back-end development, based on requirements from customers and industry best practise.
• Cross platform application & websites development
• Beneficial experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Beneficial experience with Aveva System Platform (Wonderware Scada) would be beneficial
• Beneficial experience with VBScipt & MAUI would be beneficial Critical Competencies for an MIS Technician
• Basic Fundamentals of Software Engineering
• Basic understanding of Plant Automation, PLC and Scada systems

Qualifications and experience:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• National Diploma in Information Technology (Software Development/Engineering or related field)
• 3–5 years’ experience in software development or a related technical environment
• Strong proficiency in:
• VB.Net, ASP.Net, VBScript, HTML, MVC, and JavaScript
• Microsoft SQL Server (Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, SSRS)
• Solid understanding of both front-end and back-end development principles
• A+ Certification or equivalent foundational knowledge
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

The Reference Number for this position is NG61152 which is a Permanent position based in Johannesburg offering a cost to company of up to R960k CTC negotiable on experience and ability.
