Systems Surveillance Operator

Company: Freeway Management Systems 
Location: Transport management centre - Goodwood 
Reports to: Operations Manager

Qualifications and skills

• Minimum grade 12 
• PSIRA registration and call centre certificate will be advantageous 
• MS Office
• 3-5 years control room, CCTV, surveillance, or security monitoring experience 
• Investigative skills 
• Attention to detail 
• Problem-solving skills 
• Reporting skills 

Responsibilities:

• Actively monitor and detect threats to sites within two (2) minutes of their occurrence via the various detection methods
• Accurate logging and verification of all detected incidents
• Dispatching of security personnel as well as coordination with relevant response units during active incidents.
• Acknowledgement of the alarms.
• Monitor, record, and report all roadside and TMC equipment malfunctions.
• Accurate and timeous completion of all administrative functions related to KPIs
