Job description

AFDA is inviting applications for the position of Buildings and Maintenance and IT Officer on the Hatfield Campus.
As the Buildings and Maintenance and IT Officer, AFDA is looking for a committed and dedicated professional to manage and run the on-campus Operations department. The applicant should have people and management skills and also possess knowledge and skills in IT, occupational health and safety and entertainment industry facilities and equipment.
The position requires someone who is organized, efficient and computer literate.

Roles and responsibilities

1. Accommodate campus student and staff bodies in accordance with time table and space ratios requirements.
2. Provide all course and staff equipment and facilities in accordance with campus timetable and ratios requirements.
3. Maintain campus OHS, training and image standards in accordance with requirements.
4. Maintain effective campus, facility and equipment, access, management and inventory control systems.
5. Maintain effective campus Wi-Fi, IT and archiving systems.
6.Ensure that student and lecturer experience feedback is encouraged, conducted andresults communicated.
7.Ensure accurate budget management and compliance with finance and paymentprocedures.
8.Ensure Monthly OHS requirements are met and accurate records kept.
9.Ensure all relevant training is facilitated or provided in accordance with campusrequirements.
10.Establish and maintain required campus Wi-Fi/network and server standards andsystems, IT equipment and security systems as well as institutional data integrity.
11.Establish and maintain Industry research and knowledge in field of work and contributions to the institution.
12.Establish and maintain required relationships and alliances to ensure highest quality and cost

Requirements

IT essential duties and related skills include:
  • Windows/Mac support and troubleshooting
  • Windows Server Configuration, Support and Management
  • Active directory and group policy configuration, support and management
  • Desktop support within enterprise environment
  • Software installations. Software troubleshooting
  • Provide preventive and corrective maintenance to onsite IT equipment covering hardware, operating systems and applications
  • Printer troubleshooting and support
  • Respond to software/hardware related calls
  • Hardware maintenance
  • MSDOS Knowledge
  • Windows server 2008 and 2012
  • Network infrastructure knowledge
  • Backup software
  • ITIL
  • Asset registers
  • Wi-Fi and radio configuration
  • Apple MAC (iMac and MacBook)
  • Projectors
  • Printers (multifunction)
  • Telephones
