Prime location with lifestyle perks

Located in Menlyn Maine, the hotel is directly connected to Central Square, giving guests easy access to boutique shopping, rooftop dining, and urban culture. Visitors can move seamlessly from boardroom meetings to evening cocktails at 16th by KOI, one of Pretoria’s celebrated restaurants.

Marc Wachsberger, CEO of The Capital Hotels, Apartments and Resorts, says: "We’re not just adding rooms, we’re expanding what’s possible for our guests.

"Every new apartment and every new location is about giving people more freedom: the freedom to stay longer, travel smarter and enjoy the best parts of city living. It’s a reflection of how today’s travellers want to move with flexibility, style and access to everything that matters.”

Growth aligned with rising tourism demand

South Africa’s tourism sector contributed 3.3% to national GDP in 2024, with foreign arrivals approaching nine million. The local hospitality industry, valued at around R24bn (US$1.36bn), is forecast to grow 4.4% annually until 2030.

The Capital Hotel Group’s expansion meets rising demand for high-quality, flexible accommodation while supporting job creation, supply chains, and city centre revitalisation.

Wachsberger adds: “Our national footprint is expanding in a way that matches the momentum of South African tourism. So, it only makes sense that our properties would reflect that expansion. We love that more people can now experience why The Capital Hotel Group is one of the country’s leading hospitality brands and know that this expansion is a sign of things to come.”

The new wing at The Capital Trilogy is expected to strengthen the property’s position as a modern, flexible urban accommodation option in Pretoria.
