District 9 South African premiere
On Screen took a trip to Joburg to attend the premiere for District 9 at Ster-Kinekor, The Zone @ Rosebank, Johannesburg. The film has grossed over US$40 million dollars since its release in the US and is set to make a huge impact on the South African film-making market. The cast and crew were joined by many local celebrities in what proved to be one of the biggest events in South African film, followed by a grand after party at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Johannesburg - The Rosebank.
