Greg Gray of Velocity Films has won the CDF Ad of the month Award again, with Black Cat "Art work". This is the third placement Greg has received for Ad of the month this year, Greg has been awarded 2nd place in June for Savanna "Joke" and 1st place in July for Savanna "Unhappy hour", making sure that he will be vying for the title of the prestigious Ad of the Year Award.
According to Mathew Bull, the Chairman of the CDF Ad of the month, "The top three in each category of ad of the month, go through to be judged for Ad of the year-definitely one of this country’s premier awards."
Greg was approached by the Hunt Lascaris team for Black Cat, due to his reputation in the industry for obtaining amazing performance results from cast, as well as bringing a fresh, contemporary aesthetic look and feel to the visuals. According to Greg, "our challenge was to create a commercial which appealed to all generations, and crossed all age barriers, with a look and feel that anyone could relate to. We really had to focus on a cool, contemporary look for the ad which had to stand out in the adult world of commercials we live in."
Applauding Hunt Lascaris, the agency, was Greg Gray’s Producer, Helena Woodfine who commented that "it was a fantastic project to work on, and a real team effort, we all had the same vision from the word go, there was 100% commitment from everyone involved, client and creative alike."
